6th in 1982 European Touring Car Championship, sister car to the Championship winning car of Grano/Kelleners (both cars built and supported by Eggenberger/BMW Italy)
In 1983 this car was sold to a private owner in Italy where it spent most of the ’80’s, this car holds the accolade of being the last BMW 528i raced at International level when it competed in the WTCC at Monza in 1987.
This car is believed to be the only genuine Group A BMW 528i in existence. The car retaining its BMW Motorsport shell along with original 1982 Group A trim.
Campaigned in 2015 in the Peter Auto, Heritage Touring Cup (HTC) this car has been maintained regardless of cost and can claim 100% finishing record.
All drive-train and engine have less than 15 hours running since complete rebuild by Geoff Steel Racing.
The car comes with up to date FIA papers, a folder full of history including original magazine cuttings, past technical passports, receipts, etc.
All safety equipment is inline with current FIA regulations (fuel cell, extinguisher, seat, harnesses etc)
Supplied with 3 sets of original BBS rims, 2 sets mounted with slicks, one set mounted with wets, Quick release spot lamps and brackets (brand new and pre-wired for Spa night race May 2015, only used once) and assorted running spares.
